1979 MCI COACH BUS MC-9, 40 ft.long, greyhound style - 8V -71 Detroit Diesel engine - new (used) engine installed April of 2006 - high quality Vegetable oil conversion by RealEnergy.net, in Sonoma, CA, in September of 2005. The Vegetable Oil Conversion has saved Literally thousands of dollars in gas ect... each year by using free used vegetable oil from resturants. front two luggage bays are empty and available for storage, ect. - Jacobs engine brake (Jake brake) on engine - Rebuilt alternator and regulator May of 2006, 24 volt electrical system has plenty of power for the bus, the veggie system and any possible invertors you might want to hook up for power supply in the bus. 2500 watt inverter - Brand new - interior of the bus is RV - conversion ready. Bathroom in back of bus works but needs to be hooked up (we haven't used it). About 7 feet from floor to ceiling. Top speed of 75 mph- performance is the same on regular diesel or vegetable oil. Smooth cruising speed of 70 mph, Automatic 5 speed Allison transmission. Easy to drive. Passenger seats have been taken out of bus . Exterior in excellent condition, no rust. There is one scratch along the passenger side back luggage bay from scraping against a pole at a gas station. it's purely cosmetic and minor, all luggage bay doors work and lock fine. Bus has been taken care of by great mechanic , it run great mechanic, it run great. New brakes installed March of '07 and the bus has about 200 miles on it since then .
